The back panel of this print reads: This beautiful rhododendron has a romantic origin. Its sole native habitat is the small Japanese island of Yaku Shima. The islands mountainous, windy, rain-sodden terrain has enabled this plant to develop some unique characteristics. With emerging leaves covered with a buff colored felt and a superfluous flowering process that ranges from rose pink to white, it is a small wonder why we view the orient as an alluring, mystic and magical destination.
